Jaylen Waddle Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Dolphins fans and fantasy managers had to be concerned when Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle was slow to get up on the second play of the game on Sunday against the Chiefs. He went to the blue medical tent and the team announced his return was questionable due to a knee injury.
Those concerns were quickly assuaged though as Waddle returned to the field on the team's next drive. He finished the game with three receptions for 42 yards and also added 12 rushing yards.
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters that a key focus of this bye week will be to get Waddle fully healthy. Waddle hasn't been at 100% for much of this season, McDaniel added, as he's played through injuries.
Jaylen Waddle Fantasy Football Outlook
With a bye week coming up, fantasy managers should probably expect Jaylen Waddle to suit up in Week 11 against the Raiders, though his status should be monitored over the next two weeks.
Waddle has averaged 65.3 receiving yards per game this season for the Dolphins. He's played second fiddle to Tyreek Hill more than he did in 2022, but he's still been a solid fantasy option. If he returns healthier than he's been all season, Waddle is a solid high-end WR2 in this explosive Dolphins offense.
Waddle might not have the same ceiling he had last season, but he remains a very good wideout, even though he's been banged up all season.
