Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has enjoyed a ton of fantasy football success since being selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The former Heisman winner has the rushing upside that makes a huge difference at the fantasy QB spot, so his absence in 2023 has been felt.
Murray began practicing in mid-October, and he could be ready to make his season debut.
When is Murray returning? What is his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Is Kyler Murray Coming Back in Week 10?
Murray (knee) is set to make his season debut against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10. He will officially be activated off of the Physically Unable To Perform list ahead of Sunday's game. The 26-year-old suffered a torn ACL in Week 14 of last season, so his return to action comes roughly 11 months later.
With Murray out to this point, Joshua Dobbs started eight games, and rookie Clayton Tune started one game. Arizona went 1-8 without Murray under center. Although he could be rusty early on, it's still plausible that he'll provide a substantial upgrade at quarterback for rookie head coach Jonathan Gannon.
Kyler Murray Injury Update and Fantasy Outlook
Through Murray's first four NFL seasons, he never finished as lower than a QB1 in fantasy points per game. In 57 starts, Murray posted over 15,500 total yards and 106 total touchdowns. Although he's a risky Week 10 starter, he might be worth playing in Week 10. Stud fantasy quarterbacks Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, and Patrick Mahomes are on a bye, so Murray sets up to be a nice one-week fill-in option.
Marquise Brown and Trey McBride are serviceable pass-catchers and Arizona has allowed Murray to get fully healthy before rolling him out, so consider him a boom-or-bust play against the streaky Falcons' defense this week.
Murray's first start could tell us a lot about his rest-of-season outlook.
