The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for NBA games taking place on November 8, 2023.
Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks
Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day, as other props may be added during the day.
Tyrese Haliburton UNDER 6.0 First Quarter Points - Considering Tyrese Haliburton's career-high start to the season, perhaps betting the over on first-quarter points makes more sense. However, upon digging deeper into the All-Star point guard's numbers, the magic number is four. Six games into the season, Haliburton averages four points in the fourth quarter. Aside from scoring averages, Haliburton makes up for 50 percent of the Indiana Pacers' assists while on the court. I see Haliburton looking to get teammates involved early.
Zach Collins UNDER 1.5 Steals+Blocks - The blocks and steals combination prop is a tad tricky. While blocking typically is a bit more projectable, acquiring steals often is based on luck. Even so, I've succeeded in both categories, especially the steal-block combo. San Antonio Spurs center Zach Collins has one total steal-block in his past five outings. Never confused for a defensive stud, take the under on any stat regarding Collins having to guard someone.
Michael Porter Jr. OVER 17.5 Points - Following Jamal Murray's injury news, anyone with stock in Michael Porter Jr. saw their opportunity to win fantasy matchups and props. Already off to a career-high start in terms of rebounding the ball (eight reb), see Murray's absence as a blessing in disguise. Denver plays the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, and typically, I'd see that as a disadvantage, but Porter Jr. averages 19 points in seven games played vs. the Stephen Curry-led squad.
Grant Williams OVER 11.5 Points - When I first looked at the line on Grant Williams, I felt like I ran into a trap, and it was too late. However, after further thinking, betting the under on the former Boston Celtic bodes poorly, considering his hot streak at the moment. Using 45 three-point attempts as the minimum, Williams leads the league at a remarkable 54 percent. It's not a tiny sample either, as Williams takes 6.6 three-point shots and 2.4 free throw attempts per contest. Although the Mavericks play the pesky Toronto Raptors, don't feel discouraged, as Dallas' offense ranks fourth in the league efficiency-wise.
Dereck Lively II OVER 7.5 Rebounds+Assists - Banking on a rookie center to help your season typically appears desperate. In a miraculous turn, though, the Mavericks' 2023 12th-overall draft pick has come out like a forestfire for a team in desperate need of an athletic big with a defensive motor. Dereck Lively II averages double-digit rebounds in any game in which he logs at least 30 minutes. If Lively II stays out of foul trouble, I envision the rookie eclipsing the 7.5 rebounds-assists combo.
