New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill went undrafted during the 2017 NFL Draft. Hill had a solid college career as a quarterback, completing 58.2% of his pass attempts for 6,929 yards and 43 touchdowns in five years at BYU. He also had 534 rushing attempts for 2,815 yards and 32 touchdowns in college.
The former BYU star was never going to be an NFL quarterback. However, the Saints found a way to utilize his talents. Hill mostly played special teams early in his career. Yet, New Orleans gave him a shot at quarterback a few years ago.
However, the former undrafted free agent has become a meaningful fantasy asset over the past few years. Hill has played a role at the goal line for the team, totaling at least five rushing touchdowns in three consecutive seasons entering 2023. Furthermore, the veteran has had a career year in the receiving game this season.

Taysom Hill Week 10 Waiver Wire Outlook
Hill was the TE4 in Week 9 heading into Monday Night Football. The former undrafted free agent scored 18.62 half-point PPR fantasy points. He had one pass attempt for three yards and a touchdown. The veteran led the team with 11 rushing attempts for 52 yards. Hill also had four receptions on five targets for 13 receiving yards and a touchdown in the win over the Chicago Bears.
Should I Pickup Taysom Hill in Week 10?
The do-it-all tight end joins an elite class of players. Hill is one of a handful of players in NFL history with 10 or more passing, rushing, and receiving touchdowns in a career.
Fantasy players that need tight end help should add the veteran off the waiver wire. He is the TE8 for the year, averaging 9.2 fantasy points per game. Furthermore, Hill has scored at least 14.8 fantasy points in three consecutive contests.
However, the former BYU quarterback can be a boom or bust player. He scored fewer than 2.8 fantasy points in four of the first five games this season. Furthermore, the veteran had a similar stretch of hot performance last year but struggled otherwise.
Hill scored 10.2 or more fantasy points in four of his final five games in 2022. However, he scored fewer than 4.6 fantasy points in over a third of the games. More importantly, only add Hill if he is tight end eligible in your league. He isn’t worth adding if you can’t play him in your tight end spot.
