DJ Moore Limited In Loss Against Saints
1 year agoChicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore faced yet another challenging game with Justin Fields sidelined due to a thumb injury. In Week 9, during their 24-17 loss to the Saints, the star receiver managed to secure only three catches for 44 yards on five targets. With undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent once again stepping in as the quarterback, Moore's performance was severely hampered, resulting in his worst fantasy output since Week 1. Since Bagent took over, Moore hasn't exceeded 55 yards in a single game or reached the end zone. There is a glimmer of hope, though. Bears' GM Ryan Poles hinted at the possibility of Fields returning in Week 10 for Thursday Night Football. If Fields does make a comeback, Moore's fantasy value could experience a significant upturn, even though the Panthers have allowed the seventh-fewest points to opposing receivers this season. Moore's fate appears closely tied to the return of Fields, which may well determine the ceiling of his future fantasy performances.
