1 year agoEven though Michael McDowell achieved an unexpected playoff bid and delivered at the Indy road course, Watkins Glen, and Bristol in a very short time span, don't expect him to thrive at Phoenix. Admittedly, he did achieve both his best-ever start and finish in this year's spring Phoenix event, but he has still never had a top ten finish at the track. Furthermore, he has only ever led five laps there, and those came way back in 2010 and 2011. His Front Row Motorsports car does not seem to have the pace needed for Sunday's race. Although his spring performance might make him look tempting, that race seems to be an outlier in his very paltry Phoenix record.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
