Should I Start Chris Godwin For Fantasy Football?
Godwin is the WR37 for the year, averaging 10.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The former Penn State star has 38 receptions on 56 targets for 452 receiving yards and a touchdown this season. He has played well lately, scoring 15 or more fantasy points in two of the past four contests.
This week, he faces the Texans in an unfriendly fantasy football matchup for the wide receiver. Houston has surrendered 22.8 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, the third-fewest in the NFL. Furthermore, they have given up only one receiving touchdown to wide receivers over the past four games.
Fantasy players should consider Godwin a low-end WR2 in Week 9.
Should I Start Jerome Ford For Fantasy Football?
Ford is the RB21 for the year, averaging 11.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The former Cincinnati star has 87 rushing attempts for 381 yards and two touchdowns this season. He also has 15 receptions for 106 receiving and two touchdowns.
This week, he faces the Cardinals in an excellent fantasy football matchup for the running back. Arizona has surrendered 25 fantasy points per game to running backs, the third-most in the NFL. Furthermore, they gave up three rushing touchdowns to Gus Edwards last week.
Fantasy players should consider Ford a low-end RB2 in Week 9.
Should I Start DeVonta Smith For Fantasy Football?
Smith is the WR26 for the year, averaging 10.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The former Alabama star has 39 receptions on 57 targets for 482 receiving yards and three touchdowns this season. He is coming off a massive performance against the Washington Commanders, totaling 99 receiving yards and a touchdown in the win.
This week, he faces the Cowboys in an ugly fantasy football matchup for the wide receiver. Dallas has surrendered 21.4 fantasy points per game to wide receiver, the second-fewest in the NFL. Furthermore, they have held wide receivers to fewer than 21 fantasy points in over half the games this year.
Fantasy players should consider Smith a high-end WR3 in Week 9.
