Is Drake London Playing In Week 9?
The Atlanta Falcons won't have wide receiver Drake London on the field this week when quarterback Taylor Heinicke makes his first start of the season for Atlanta.
London, who was targeted seven times in last week's loss to the Titans, finished Week 8 with five catches for 55 yards. It was the fourth game in a row in which London had at least 50 receiving yards.
Someone else will need to step up at wide receiver for the Falcons this week though with London set to miss his first game of the 2023 season with a groin injury.
Should I Start Van Jefferson for Fantasy Football Week 9
After a disappointing start to the season with the Los Angeles Rams, Van Jefferson was traded to the Atlanta Falcons. In his first two games with the team, he was targeted four times, catching one pass for five yards.
In Week 8, Jefferson saw his most usage with his new team, as he was targeted five times, catching three passes for 24 yards int the team's 28-23 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Jefferson played 48 of the team's 68 offensive snaps, more than any other receiver on the team.
With Heinicke taking over at quarterback, there's some appeal for Jefferson this week in deep leagues. He might still struggle, but someone has to step up in Week 9. Jefferson has a better chance of delivering a WR4 performance than any other wide receiver on this Falcons roster.
