John Gibson Out On Wednesday
1 year agoAnaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson (upper body) will sit out Wednesday's tilt against the Coyotes. He was injured in Monday's 4-3 win over Pittsburgh, giving the crease over to Lukas Dostal. Before getting hurt, Gibson had just recorded his first win of the season, and he's 1-3-0 overall with a 2.82 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage. Dostal has opened the campaign by going 4-1-0, and he was named Rookie of the Month for October on Wednesday. The Czech netminder could now get a few extra runs in between the pipes with Gibson unavailable. He will make his fifth start of the year Wednesday night, with Alex Stalock working as his backup.
