Minnesota Vikings quarterback Jaren Hall wasn't supposed to play this season, but the rookie out of BYU was pressed into action on Sunday when starting quarterback Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles.
Heading into Week 9, Jaren Hall is rostered in 0% of leagues. Should that number rise this week?

What Did Jaren Hall Do Last Week?
When Jaren Hall entered Sunday's game against the Packers, his team was already up multiple scores, so the Vikings didn't really need Hall to do much. He was 3-for-4 for 23 yards in the 24-10 victory.
Looking back to his college career, Hall spent two seasons as the BYU starter. In 2022, he completed 66.0% of his passes for 3,171 yards with 31 touchdowns and just six interceptions. He also added 350 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.
Hall is certainly a more mobile option than Cousins was, but he's significantly more raw as a passer than the 35-year-old Cousins is.
Jaren Hall Waiver Wire Outlook for Week 9
This week, the Vikings take on the Atlanta Falcons. Hall is set to start at quarterback for the Vikings with Cousins done for the year and Nick Mullens on IR.
There's no guarantee that Hall will even be the starter for the rest of the season, as the team could turn to Mullens once he's off of Injured Reserve. As talented as Hall is, he's simply too inexperienced to be trusted in fantasy leagues.
The exception is in two-QB or superflex leagues, where any starting quarterback should be added off the waiver wire. In one-QB formats, Hall can be safely ignored for now. It's just tough to expect a rookie fifth-round pick to step in and be productive, especially when he won't have superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson to throw to this weekend.
