Tyson Bagent Rushes For Second Career Touchdown
1 year agoChicago Bears quarterback Tyson Bagent was tasked with filling in for starter Justin Fields, who missed his second straight start due to a thumb injury. The undrafted rookie finished the day 25-of-37 for 232 yards and two interceptions, adding four attempts for negative one yard and a rushing touchdown in their 30-13 loss to the Chargers. He has rushed for a touchdown in two of the three games he's appeared in, boosting him to a second straight game over 10 points in most formats. The game script was incredibly favorable, as the Bears fell behind big early and were forced to throw almost the entire game. Fields might return to practice this week and take the starting job back from Bagent, who has been serviceable at best in his place. In Week 9, the Bears take on the Saints, who allow the seventh-fewest points to quarterbacks this season. If Bagent has to start again, he would be considered one of the less appealing streaming options at quarterback.
