Cole Kmet Bounces Back On Sunday Night
1 year agoChicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet had a much-needed bounce back this week, coming off his zero-target effort in Week 7. In their 30-13 loss to the Chargers on Sunday Night Football, Kmet finished with 10 catches for 79 yards, marking his second-most productive output this season in PPR formats. Although starter Justin Fields (thumb) missed his second straight game, the Notre Dame alumni got back on track with undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent. Kmet was really starting to get going with Fields at the helm and saw a huge drop-off in the first two games without him. Fields could return to practice this week, but Kmet might have a significant role in this offense now, regardless of who's at quarterback. Next week is a tougher matchup against a Saints team that allows the sixth-fewest points to tight ends this season.
