T.J. Hockenson Injury Update
Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson (foot) has been removed from the injury report and will play on Sunday versus the Green Bay Packers, per head coach Kevin O'Connell. This is great news for a Minnesota offense looking to keep its passing game afloat after losing Justin Jefferson (hamstring).
Hockenson will have to share opportunities with Jordan Addison and Alexander Mattison, but there's no reason why the three can't co-exist. Fantasy managers should view him as a high-end TE1 versus Green Bay's relatively soft defense.
Darren Waller Injury Update
New York Giants tight end Darren Waller (hamstring) is officially questionable for Week 8 versus the New York Jets. The 31-year-old has been New York's focal point on offense over the last three weeks, totaling 26 targets during that span. Having him available on Sunday would be huge for a Giants squad that is temporarily being led by Tyrod Taylor.
If active, Waller would rank as a mid-range TE1 in fantasy football.
Gerald Everett Injury Update
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett (hip) is officially questionable to face the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football in Week 8. The veteran picked up the injury in last week's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
If he's active, he has mid-range TE1 upside against the struggling Chicago defense. If he's out, Donald Parham Jr. will be in line to play most of the snaps at tight end in Justin Herbert's offense.
Luke Musgrave Injury Update
Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave (ankle) is listed as questionable for the Week 8 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Musgrave sat out of the first two practice sessions of the week, but was able to return on Friday. At the moment, it seems like Musgrave is going to be a legitimate game-time decision for this game.
The Packers might limit his reps this week, which could hurt his fantasy value. Fantasy managers should have Musgrave as a TE2 this week, assuming he suits up.
