Cole Kmet Risking Play In Week 8
1 year agoChicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet was establishing himself as a reliable fantasy option until Justin Fields suffered a thumb injury. In the two games where backup Tyson Bagent has taken the field, Kmet has only managed two catches for nine yards on three targets, with all of those coming in the Week 6 game when Fields got injured. The former Notre Dame tight end seems to lack fantasy value until Fields returns, as he recently had a game with zero targets in their 30-12 victory over the Raiders in Week 7. Despite the Chargers allowing the 10th most points per game to tight ends this season, the limited passing game for the Bears makes Kmet a bench-worthy option for fantasy managers, if possible. Kmet's hopes for consistency rest upon the return of his starting quarterback.
