Zach Charbonnet May Serve As Primary Back In Week 8
1 year agoRunning back Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) is in line to serve as the top backfield option for the Seattle Seahawks when they take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 8. Charbonnet returned to practicing in full on Thursday for the first time since Week 6 while Kenneth Walker III (calf) sat out his second consecutive practice nursing an injury of his own. The Browns' defense is among the best in the league but they are more forgiving against the run than the pass, so Pete Carroll may lean on the ground game to avoid dealing with the most effective secondary in the league. If Walker is unable to play, Charbonnet would see a big uptick in work and rank as a low-end RB2 against Cleveland.
