Thankfully, "Byemageddon" is over. In fact, there aren't any teams on a bye in Week 8, which will hopefully make things easier regarding lineup construction. Week 7 featured strong performances from guys like Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Puka Nacua, and Amon-Ra St. Brown, which didn't shock anyone.
However, others like D'Onta Foreman, Darrell Henderson, Gardner Minshew, and Joshua Palmer provided value where DFS managers needed it the most. As we near the halfway point of the 2023-24 season (already), the injuries continue to pile up, meaning the value opportunities should continue in Week 8.
In this article, I will be providing you with my Week 8 daily fantasy football lineup picks for FanDuel. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. FanDuel Quarterbacks - Week 8 DFS Lineup Picks
Patrick Mahomes – @ DEN ($9,000)
In Week 7 against the Los Angeles Chargers, Mahomes had his best showing of the 2023-24 campaign. The signal-caller finished that one by throwing 424 yards and four touchdowns (one interception). He added four carries for 29 yards. The Chiefs will meet the Broncos for the second time this season in Week 8. Of course, Mahomes is no stranger to the AFC West rival.
He's played well in 12 regular season games versus Denver by amassing over 300 passing yards in half of those encounters. That said, Mahomes' track record suggests he has an excellent chance of having a productive outing on Sunday. At the same time, Denver's defense has been horrendous against opposing quarterbacks this year, which is another reason to spend up at the position.
Kirk Cousins - @ GB ($7,700)
Cousins has had a Pro-Bowl-caliber season. He's thrown for 2,057 yards and 16 touchdowns while completing 68.9% of his throws. The 35-year-old had a rough showing against the Bears in Week 6, one of his few poor performances this season.
However, he led the Vikings to a surprise victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7 by tossing for nearly 400 yards. Although Cousins is still without Justin Jefferson, he has more than a few reliable receivers at his disposal to be productive against the Packers.
Also Consider: Jalen Hurts ($9,200), Sam Darnold ($6,100, if Brock Purdy doesn't play)
FanDuel Running Backs - Week 8 DFS Lineup Picks
Jonathan Taylor – vs. NO ($7,100)
Taylor scored his first touchdown of the year in Week 7 against the Browns. He hadn't been in the end zone in a while, so fantasy managers were more than thrilled. It's safe to say most had started to lose hope that the 24-year-old would get back on track, and though he still has a way to go to convince people he's returned to his All-Pro form, it was a step in the right direction.
Taylor and Zach Moss each logged 35 offensive snaps last Sunday. They also individually received 18 carries. Yet, Taylor was more efficient, amassing 4.2 yards per carry, a yard more than Moss. Nevertheless, some remain convinced the duo will share work moving forward. But that likely won't be the case, as Taylor could be the clear No. 1 option out of the backfield versus the New Orleans Saints (and beyond), especially since Moss is banged up.
Kareem Hunt - @ SEA ($7,000)
After Nick Chubb suffered a season-ending knee injury, the team had Jerome Ford to fill the void. But with the Browns routinely utilizing multiple running backs, the club re-signed Hunt, who many thought would never return to Cleveland. It took a while for Hunt to find his footing. But he's proven himself to be more than just a pass-catching attraction.
The 2017 third-round pick totaled 22 carries in the last two games. Even better, he scored three touchdowns during that span. Hunt and Ford are carrying injuries heading into the meeting with the Seattle Seahawks. But if Hunt plays and Ford doesn't, this one should be a no-brainer for DFS managers, with Pierre Strong Jr. drawing value consideration for tournament formats.
Also Consider: Alvin Kamara ($8,300), Tony Pollard ($7,600), Isiah Pacheco ($7,400), Emari Demercado ($5,600), Zach Charbonnet ($4,500, if Kenneth Walker III doesn't play)

FanDuel Wide Receivers - Week 8 DFS Lineup Picks
A.J. Brown @ WSH ($8,700)
The Commanders began the year by winning their first two contests. Since then, things have spiraled out of control, with Washington dropping four of their last five games. Nothing is going right these days, and while some of the Commanders' players appear motivated to turn things around after losing a close one to the Giants, the team will have an uphill climb against the Eagles.
Philadelphia and Washington met back in Week 4, with the former taking the win in overtime. Of course, Brown was a big reason Philly left with a victory, as the wideout caught nine of his 13 targets for 175 yards and two touchdowns to equal 34 fantasy points. The Commanders' defense hasn't looked good, so Brown could have another big showing in Week 8.
Jordan Addison - @ GB ($7,300)
Addison is one of the best rookies in the National Football League, to say the least. He's played well all year, accruing at least one touchdown in five of his seven games. The former Trojan is also one of the most potent deep threats in the National Football League. With Justin Jefferson still out with a bum hamstring, Addison should continue to get the bulk of the targets from Kirk Cousins in Week 8 against the Packers.
Also Consider: Tyreek Hill ($9,500), Ja'Marr Chase ($8,500), Jaylen Waddle ($7,100), Zay Flowers ($6,500), Rashee Rice ($6,000)
FanDuel Tight Ends - Week 8 DFS Lineup Picks
Travis Kelce - @ DEN ($9,000)
There isn't a more volatile position for fantasy managers than tight end. Sure, there are plenty of players capable of having big games. But for those looking to take the safe approach, rolling with Kelce from week to week is always ideal. He hasn't drawn less than nine targets in a game this season. The veteran is also coming off a monster showing versus the Chargers in Week 7, with Kelce catching 12 of his 13 targets for 179 yards and a touchdown.
He has 1,414 receiving yards versus the Broncos throughout his career, more than any team in the NFL. While it will be tough for Kelce to match his Week 7 production, he is still a top DFS option, although it will cost managers $9,000 to get him into their lineups.
Also Consider: T.J. Hockenson ($6,500), George Kittle ($6,100)
