Running backs Jahmyr Gibbs, Darrell Henderson, and Javonte Williams each had their best performances of the 2023 NFL season in Week 7. All three running backs had been quiet up to their games last week, making them trade targets or sell-high candidates ahead of Week 8.
The fantasy football trade deadline will be here before we know it, meaning there's not much time left to position your roster for a fantasy title via trade.
Should you trade for Gibbs, Henderson, or Williams ahead of Week 8? Or maybe you should trade them away? Let's dive in and take a look.

Jahmyr Gibbs, Darrell Henderson, Javonte Williams Recap
Against the Baltimore Ravens, Gibbs rushed 11 times for 68 yards and a touchdown and hauled in nine of his 10 targets for 58 yards in the absence of David Montgomery (ribs). It was a breakout performance for the rookie Alabama product, as he finished the game with 23.1 half-PPR points.
With Kyren Williams (ankle) and Ronnie Rivers (knee) sidelined, the Rams brought back Henderson ahead of the contest with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Henderson immediately saw a healthy workload, turning 19 touches into 66 yards and a score.
Williams, facing a lackluster Green Bay run defense, saw 15 carries for 82 yards and caught three passes for 14 yards. He finished the week as the RB20 in half-PPR formats.
Should I Trade For Gibbs, Henderson, or Williams?
Among these three running backs, Jahmyr Gibbs is the best sell-high candidate. His fantasy managers may be looking to offload him after the performance. His big day was enabled due to Montgomery's injury, and the Detroit Lions were facing a negative game script quickly against the Baltimore Ravens.
Baltimore got out to a 35-0 lead, forcing Jared Goff to attempt 53 passes. The Lions aren't likely to face big deficits much this season, so don't expect Gibbs to see that kind of receiving volume again. That said, you should not trade away a big package for Gibbs. When Montgomery comes back, he should be pushed back into the RB2 role.
Darrell Henderson is likely to be a safe fantasy option for at least the next three games, so if you need running back production, you could target him via trade. His fantasy managers likely won't ask for too much in return, so it's worth a shot.
Javonte Williams could be viewed as a sell, but a lack of a touchdown in Week 7 kept his stock from rising too high. The Broncos saw a favorable matchup against the Packers, but this is still a bad offense overall. It's likely a good idea to stay away from Williams.
