Tennesee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill injured his right ankle in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens in London. The veteran left the game early in the third quarter, and the Titans declared last Monday that he suffered a high ankle sprain.
Second-year quarterback Malik Willis came in relief in that game and didn't do much with his opportunities. He completed four of five passes for 74 yards while also rushing three times for 17 yards. With the Titans on a bye in Week 7, we finally got more clarity on the team's quarterback situation for Week 8.
Is Tannehill injured or playing? What Titans quarterback should I start? Let's dive in.

Is Ryan Tannehill Playing In Week 8?
If Tannehill is in fact dealing with a high right ankle sprain, it is highly unlikely we will see him play in Week 8. He was a non-participant in Tennessee's practice on Wednesday.
But the veteran quarterback did say his ankle is "definitely healing." That's a good sign for Tannehill moving forward, though, it usually takes longer than two weeks for a high ankle sprain to fully heal. With the Titans currently at 2-4, they are likely in no rush to bring him back.
Tannehill dealt with the same ankle injury last season, which caused him to miss a handful of games. It looks like he will surely miss Week 8 because Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said on Wednesday that they are prepping to start rookie Will Levis on Sunday.
Should I Start Will Levis?
If Tannehill can't go on Sunday, it will be second-round rookie Levis who draws the start. The former Kentucky quarterback unexpectedly fell out of the first round in the 2023 NFL Draft, and Tennessee eventually traded up eight picks to select the gun-slinger.
However, Levis should not be started in one-quarterback leagues and is an extremely risky option in Superflex formats in Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons. With no teams on byes this week, you likely have better options than the second-round rookie on your roster -- even if you start two quarterbacks.
The matchup also isn't the best for Levis, playing against Atlanta's third-ranked passing defense. The rookie will surely have his struggles on Sunday. But he might be worth a roster spot in Superflex formats -- just in case he plays out of his mind in his NFL debut.
