Darnell Savage To Be Placed On Injured Reserve
1 year agoGreen Bay Packers safety Darnell Savage (calf) will be placed on Injured Reserve after suffering a calf injury in the Week 7 loss to the Denver Broncos. Savage has played in all six games this season, posting 22 solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles. Jaire Alexander (back) and Eric Stokes (hamstring) are also dealing with injuries, so Green Bay may have to rely on backup defensive backs moving forward. This does not bode well for a Packers team that is trending in the wrong direction after a 2-1 start to the 2023 season. In the absence of Savage, Jonathan Owens should see more playing time.
