Brandon Aiyuk Catches Five Passes In Loss
1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk hauled in five of six targets for 57 yards in the team's 22-17 loss to the Vikings in Minnesota on Monday night. While he didn't leave fantasy managers completely hanging, it was a bit of a disappointing performance considering the context. Minnesota came into the game with mediocre pass-defense numbers and Aiyuk had 10 targets last week with Deebo Samuel (shoulder) out for most of the game. With Samuel remaining out, Aiyuk was out-targeted Monday by George Kittle and shockingly, Jauan Jennings. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried about Jennings siphoning targets next week against Cincinnati with Samuel expected out again, as tonight's total is a career-high for Jennings in 38 career games, though it will be something for fantasy managers to think about if they have a close start/sit decision involving Aiyuk in a shallow league.
