Tyson Bagent To Make Another Start
1 year agoChicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said that "Tyson Bagent will be our starter" for the Week 8 game on Sunday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers. Eberflus called Justin Fields (thumb) doubtful to play, although he is making progress from a dislocated right thumb he suffered in Week 6. Bagent, an undrafted rookie, led the Bears to their second win of the year on Sunday over the Las Vegas Raiders, going 21-for-29 for 162 yards and a touchdown while running for 24 yards. The 23-year-old didn't do anything special, but he managed the game nicely and didn't turn the ball over in his first career start. Even against a shaky Chargers defense, Bagent will have a low ceiling and floor as a desperation QB2 in superflex leagues in Week 8.
