Jeff Wilson Jr. Barely Involved In Season Debut
1 year agoMiami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. was barely involved in his 2023 season debut in the Sunday night loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Wilson played just 14 percent of the offensive snaps and caught his only target for a gain of four yards. He didn't receive a single carry, while Salvon Ahmed saw two rushing attempts for three yards on a night where the stout Eagles defensive line completely shut down Miami's ground attack. The 27-year-old missed the first six games of the season while on Injured Reserve due to ribs and finger injuries, so it shouldn't come as a big surprise that he didn't play a big role. Wilson should start to see more involvement in the coming weeks, but it doesn't mean he'll be worthy of a starting lineup spot in Week 8 against the New England Patriots.
