Josh Jacobs Struggles In Loss
1 year agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs had his worst game of the season in the Week 7 loss to the Chicago Bears. The Raiders running back had 11 carries for 35 yards and one reception for six yards. Jacobs did not get into the end zone for the second week in a row and totaled less than 50 rushing yards for the first time in four weeks. Jacobs nearly had the first receiving touchdown of his career but failed to get his second foot down in bounds. Jacobs and the Raiders offense failed to get anything going against a Bears defense that should have been an easy matchup. Jacobs was massively outshined by the opposing running back, D'Onta Foreman, who scored three touchdowns. As bad as the Raiders have looked with Garoppolo at quarterback, they took another step back with Brian Hoyer behind center. The Raiders take on the Detroit Lions in Week 8. The Lions are one of the worst matchups for running backs. Fantasy managers may feel less confident starting Jacobs against the Lions after this performance, but he should still be in lineups, given the state of the running back position.
