NFL DFS Props - Over/Under Picks for Week 7 Monday Night Football
Kirk Cousins OVER 2.5 Rushing Yards
Cousins is second in the NFL in passing through six weeks, but it’s his rushing prop that is showing more value in Week 7.
Captain Kirk has hit three or more rushing yards in three of his six games, with all three being Vikings losses. Minnesota is a seven-point underdog on Monday night against the 49ers, who will be looking to bounce back from a shocking Week 6 loss to the Browns. San Francisco has given up three or more rushing yards to four of the six quarterbacks they have faced this year (67%).
The Proptimizer identifies a 33.6% edge on Cousins hitting over 2.5 rushing yards this week based on a Sharp App projected line of 6.1 rushing yards, the highest Proptimizer edge for any prop in this game.
Alexander Mattison UNDER 3.5 Receptions
Mattison has underwhelmed this year as the RB21 in fantasy despite the heavy workload (69% of snaps or more in every game but one). He ranks 21st among running backs in rushing through six weeks.
Mattison’s receiving props are slightly inflated this week after a seven-target, four-catch game against a middling Bears defense in Week 6. This week, he gets a tough San Francisco defense that deploys zone coverage 77% of the time and has been particularly effective at it -- they allow just 5.6 yards per coverage target (first in the NFL).
The former third-round pick has only surpassed three catches twice in six games (33%). PFF is in line with that this week, projecting a 68% likelihood of this prop going under.
Greg Joseph OVER 5.5 Kicking Points
The Vikings have been middle-of-the-road so far this season in offensive production, tied for 17th in points per game (21.5) despite being 12th in offensive yards per game. Their lack of red zone touchdown efficiency has been a heavy contributor to this -- Minnesota has scored a touchdown on only 52.9% of their red zone trips (20th in the NFL).
Vikings kicker Greg Joseph has hit six or more kicking points in three of six games this year. San Francisco has given up an average of 6.5 kicking points per game to their opponents this year, tied for eighth-most in the NFL. With an offense that moves the ball well but sputters in the red zone, Joseph is showing value on his kicking prop this week.
