Sam Howell Fantasy Football Outlook
Howell has averaged 17.7 fantasy points per game and is the QB13 overall through six weeks. In Week 7, he'll face the New York Giants, who have allowed the 13th-fewest fantasy points to quarterback this season.
However, its defense as a whole is weak. They've been blown out in several games, meaning opposing quarterbacks haven't had to keep their foot on the gas. This should not be viewed as a worrisome matchup, and Howell has QB1 upside.

Our consensus staff rankings have Howell as the QB10 this week. The 23-year-old signal-caller posted a QB5 finish in Week 5 and a QB7 finish in Week 6. That said, a top-10 finish is well within his range of outcomes this week.
His supporting cast of Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, Jahan Dotson, Brian Robinson Jr., and Logan Thomas is underrated among skill position groups, and he has enough mobility to excel in this favorable matchup.
Should I Start Sam Howell In Week 7 Fantasy Football?
Unless you have a must-start stud quarterback option this week, Howell should probably be in your starting lineup. He might not be a great "real" quarterback, but he has been a solid fantasy QB with boom-week upside.
Don't start him over players like Lamar Jackson and Geno Smith, but play him over the likes of Baker Mayfield and Desmond Ridder.
