DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (10/24/23)

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Tuesday (10/24/23). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We are still in the midst of the greatest 50 days of the year for any football fan. October 8 was the first of 50 consecutive days of either FBS or NFL football. What a time to be alive! For all of the evil things the Mouse does, one thing that is right about all of this is ESPN gobbling up the TV rights to Conference USA, the Fun Belt, and the MAC. Instead of putting those games on ESPN+ on Saturdays, they did the right thing for everyone and gave us mid-week football. The ESPN money may have destroyed the Pac-12, but it also gave us this.

Who's ready for another Conference USA Tuesday? We have a couple of really intriguing matchups for DFS purposes here. We start off in Ruston with New Mexico State heading in to take on Louisiana Tech. We end this in Bowling Green (Kentucky, not Ohio. MACtion isn't here yet) with Liberty facing their last real test against the Hilltoppers.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/24/23, locking at 7 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

College Football Betting Picks October 24:

I don't have the full odds article done yet, so we are just going to do this here. That's what Tuesday games do to me. You know the drill!

New Mexico State at Louisiana Tech (-1.5)

Betting Confidence Factor: 4

I'll take the team with a proven quarterback, thank you very much. Aggies straight up.

Liberty (-3.5) at Western Kentucky

Betting Confidence Factor: 3

This is a contrast in styles that greatly favors the visitors. Western Kentucky is a one-dimensional offense that revolves around one receiver. That's not going to work against a team like the Flames. I'll take Liberty.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Kaidon Salter, Liberty ($8,700)

Salter only threw for 140 yards last week, but he ran for 160. He can beat you whichever way the defense allows. It should be dealer's choice in Bowling Green. The Hilltoppers aren't good against the run or the pass. Expect another big game out of Salter here.

Austin Reed, Western Kentucky ($8,500)

I'll be the first to tell you that I might only run one quarterback here. I don't want anything to do with the Louisiana Tech quarterback battle and both Pavia and Reed feel overpriced. Salter is my priority. If I can fit one of the other two comfortably, so be it. If not, I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Reed only has one game over 300 passing yards this year (it was in Week 1), which is a far cry from last year. This is not the same Western Kentucky offense and it's mostly because no other receiver has stepped up. Last year, they had three that could make plays. The Liberty defense is going to get after Reed. I'm only recommending him because he will get at least 200 passing yards. If he can hit that against Ohio State, he can against anyone.

Also consider: Diego Pavia, New Mexico State ($9,300); Hank Bachmeier, Louisiana Tech ($6,000)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Quinton Cooley, Liberty ($6,900)

Quinton Cooley has four straight 100-yard rushing games and five in the last six games. He has also scored six touchdowns in the last three games. Salter ran for 160 last week and Cooley still hit 134 and three touchdowns. Salter getting carries isn't really taking Cooley's work. In fact, it might be enhancing it. Western Kentucky is just as bad against the run as MTSU is. Expect another big game from Cooley.

Monte Watkins, New Mexico State ($4,900)

Watkins racked up 109 yards on just 10 carries against UTEP. It wasn't all the product of one long run either. The longest carry for Watkins was 34 yards. We might see the passing of the torch to Watkins here. Star Thomas only had seven carries and didn't catch a pass. The Aggies will probably go with the hot hand, but Watkins has done more with less for much of the last three games.

Also consider: Tyre Shelton, Louisiana Tech ($6,600); Charvis Thornton, Louisiana Tech ($4,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Malachi Corley, Western Kentucky ($7,500)

He's right, you know. This is why I never fade Corley on any slate. His target share is astronomical, so his floor is higher than anyone else on the slate. I doubt that he has a ceiling game against the tough Liberty defense, but his floor is double figures. He's not even really a risk at this point.

Smoke Harris, Louisiana Tech ($7,000)

Despite the quarterback battle, Harris has still hauled in 22 passes in the last two games. He hasn't found the end zone since Week 3 against North Texas. This will be the game that he gets back. The volume is even higher than Corley's, which is why I'm Smokin' in GPPs tonight.

Bentley Hanshaw, Liberty ($3,700)

Tight end is a thankless position in the Liberty offense, but the Flames have thrown Hanshaw a few bones for his blocking work this year. He only has 13 catches on the season, but four of those are for touchdowns. He is looked at enough in the red zone to make him relevant. Hanshaw is touchdown-dependent, but he's averaging better than one every two games.

Also consider: Cyrus Allen, Louisana Tech ($6,100); CJ Daniels, Liberty ($5,900); Trent Hudson, New Mexico State ($5,400)

DraftKings CFB Stacks:

Liberty

Western Kentucky's defense is one of the worst in CUSA. Liberty is a team that loves to run. The Hilltoppers allow a staggering 203.7 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns per game. Salter runs more than enough to use him and Cooley is a must-play option. We must make the decision on whether to take a chance on Billy Lucas or to go with old reliable (CJ Daniels). They are affordable enough to do both, so that's the way I'm leaning. Liberty targets Daniels enough even in run-heavy game scripts.

Also consider: New Mexico State, Louisiana Tech
