Saquon Barkley Running Behind Patchwork Offensive Line In Week 7
1 year agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) picked up limited practice designations this week but it's just maintenance in his return from a sprained ankle. He's ready to go against the Washington Commanders. His offensive line, however, may not be. They could be down as many as three starters. Some reserves are battling injuries as well. Barkley dashed for 93 yards on 24 carries in his first game back against Buffalo. With a lack of a strong passing game, Barkley will continue to be the focal point of the New York offense. The Commanders' run defense is nothing to worry about but it could still dominate a shaky offensive line. Barkley is considered a low-end RB1 for Week 7.
