Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Saturday, October 21, 2023. The 2023 MLB postseason is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks.
PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play.
On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.
Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.
PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Zack Wheeler MORE than 4.0 hits allowed
This is the highest-ranked prop on the PrizePicks Optimizer with a 54.95% chance of success. The reason this prop is at the top of the list is the fact that most books have the over 4.5 set to +104, so we are getting half of a hit-allowed discount here and the possibility of a push is in play. Wheeler will likely go deep in this game as well considering the Phillies used seven relievers last night, so this should increase his chances of allowing some hits. Wheeler has allowed four or more hits in three of his previous five starts, although he only allowed three hits at home against the Diamondbacks in Game 1, so tread lightly with this play.
Trea Turner MORE than 1.5 total bases
Although we missed on this prop last night, Trea Turner is still on an absolute tear this postseason as he is now slashing .459/.512/.838 while having eclipsed this prop in seven of his previous 10 games. He also managed to get a hit in his first at-bat last night, but he just could not come through with another total base after that. He will be facing Zac Gallen in this one, who he has ripped two doubles and a bomb against across 21 at-at bats. His hitter fantasy score of 8.5 is also in play here.
Zac Gallen MORE than 16.0 pitching outs
Gallen got absolutely lit up in Game 1 of this series at Citizens Bank Ballpark by allowing five earned runs over five innings pitched, but now Gallen will be at home where he has been an absolute stud. In 2023, Gallen posted a 2.47 ERA with a 1.03 WHIP and managed to eclipse this prop in all but one start. The Diamondbacks also burned through seven relievers last night, so they will be counting on Gallen to go deep in this one.
