Travis Homer Could See Role In Week 7
1 year agoChicago Bears running back Travis Homer (hamstring) was a full participant in Friday's practice and could have a role in Week 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Khalil Herbert (ankle) remains on injured reserve, and Roschon Johnson (concussion) is out for Sunday. With these absences, the Bears will rely on Homer, D'Onta Foreman, and Darrynton Evans in the running game this week. While Homer hasn't had any carries this season, he may see some action behind Foreman. The Raiders rank 14th in points allowed to running backs, and with starter Justin Fields (thumb) sidelined, the Bears are likely to emphasize the run game. The game plan for backup Tyson Bagent should involve multiple running backs, including Homer, getting some reps, making Homer mainly an option in deep-league formats.
