PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.

The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.

You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Justin Verlander MORE than 5.0 hits allowed

This is the highest-ranked prop on the PrizePicks Optimizer with a 55.95% chance of success. The reason this prop is at the top of the list is the fact that most books have the over 5.5 set to -104, so we are getting half of a hit allowed discount here and the possibility of a push is in play. Verlander faced these Rangers back in Game 1 of this series and allowed six hits across 6 2/3 innings pitched as well.

Trea Turner MORE than 1.5 total bases

Trea Turner has been on an absolute tear this postseason as he is now slashing .471/.526/.882 while having eclipsed this prop in seven of his nine games. He will be up against Diamondbacks left-hander Joe Mantiply to begin the game, which is good news as Mantiply has allowed a .277 BAA to right-handed hitters in 2023.

Jordan Montgomery MORE than 5.0 hits allowed 

While Jordan Montgomery has been solid this postseason, he has allowed five or more hits in all three of his starts. He has also allowed five or more hits in six straight starts and in eight of his previous nine starts. He will be up against an Astros lineup that is posting a .277 AVG and 135 wRC+ mark vs. left-handers since the All-Star Break, and they also managed to get five hits off of him in Game 1.
