Kendre Miller Should Be In Reserve Role In Week 7
Kendre Miller only saw three touches in Week 6, taking just 22% of snaps behind starter Alvin Kamara. To further complicate the backfield behind Kamara, Jamaal Williams (hamstring) is listed as questionable after practicing all week. This backfield is Kamara's until we see otherwise, and Miller can safely be sat on the bench this week. That being said, he remains an intriguing stash candidate.

Alvin Kamara, Kendre Miller Miss Another Practice
Alvin Kamara (groin) and Kendre Miller (concussion) both missed practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Kamara suffered an adductor injury in the Week 15 loss to the Washington Commanders and hasn't practiced or played since. The 29-year-old continues to say he wants to play in the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday against the division-rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but that's looking more and more unlikely by the day. Miller, meanwhile, suffered a concussion in last week's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders and is also trending toward sitting out the final game of the season. If both Kamara and Miller are ruled out for Week 18 on Friday's final injury report, look for the Saints to mostly lean on Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the backfield, with Jamaal Williams and Jordan Mims serving in backup roles.

No Practice For Saints' Kendre Miller
Kendre Miller (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday prior to the Week 18 finale against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If Miller can't clear concussion protocol by Sunday, newly acquired back Clyde Edwards-Helaire seems likely to lead the backfield again, though he drew only five carries last week against Las Vegas. With the Saints way out of the playoff picture and quarterback Derek Carr (left hand) and running back Alvin Kamara (groin) still not practicing, the entire offense looks to be avoidable in any format that still plays Week 18.

Kendre Miller In The Concussion Protocol
Kendre Miller (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol after suffering a concussion in the Week 17 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Miller didn't play the entire second half and finished with only four touches and 19 scrimmage yards. The Saints were also without starter Alvin Kamara (groin) and could very well be again for the Week 18 regular-season finale against the division-rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers, too. If both Miller and Kamara are not cleared for this weekend, Clyde Edwards-Helaire would likely lead the Saints' backfield, with veteran Jamaal Williams serving in a backup role. In his first game action of 2024, Edwards-Helaire led the team's backfield with only five carries for 20 yards while catching two of four targets for 10 yards. With the Saints already eliminated from the playoffs, Miller will likely be fighting an uphill battle to play against Tampa.

Kendre Miller Will Not Return Against Raiders
Kendre Miller (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. He finishes the game with three carries for three yards and one catch for 16 yards on one target. The only two running backs on the depth chart for the rest of this game are Jamaal Williams and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Miller's status is up in the air now for their Week 18 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
