Nathan Webb Signs Two-Year Deal With Orioles
1 year agoFree-agent right-hander Nathan Webb (elbow) signed a two-year minor-league deal with the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday that includes an invite to spring training, according to a source. Webb had Tommy John surgery at the end of spring training this year and was on the Kansas City Royals' 40-man roster in 2022. The 26-year-old reliever hasn't appeared in the major leagues yet and had a rough 9.99 ERA, 2.34 WHIP, one save, 27 walks and 39 strikeouts in 27 appearances (one start) over 33 1/3 innings in 2022 in the Arizona Complex League and at Double-A Northwest Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha. Webb will provide Baltimore with some relief depth in the minors to begin the 2024 campaign.
