1 year agoIf one throws out a few outliers, Austin Dillon runs pretty well at Las Vegas. He has finished in the top 15 eight of the past 11 races on the 1.5-mile intermediate track. The Richard Childress Racing driver does not typically contend. He has only led 12 laps during his entire career on the course. The No. 3 car is hardly the fastest among the Chevy's. He qualified 16th on Saturday but did have decent five and ten-lap times in the 29.5 to 29.7 second range. The problem is can he do that over longer runs.
