Ryan Blaney A Safe Play At Las Vegas
1 year agoRyan Blaney, who currently sits eighth in the playoff standings, will start P12 in the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. While being the lowest-seeded driver left in the playoffs is not ideal, he is only 10 points outside the Championship 4, a deficit he can make up by having solid finishes in each stage on Sunday. Given how manageable it is for him to make up this point difference, I expect he will take a less aggressive approach to ensure that his car remains on track, thus allowing him to earn points throughout the day. Because of this, and considering he has eight top-10 finishes in his 14 starts at Vegas, I feel Blaney is a viable play this weekend in DFS, as you should be able to count on the second-generation Cup star to have a strong finish Sunday afternoon.
