Chris Buescher Will Start Fifth To Open The Round of 8
1 year agoOn Saturday afternoon, Chris Buescher qualified fifth for the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Heading into the first race in the Round of 8, Buescher finds himself sitting one spot below the cutoff line for the Championship 4. Considering how well the RFK Racing star has run this season, recovering the three points that separate him from Kyle Larson in the standings is certainly manageable. However, despite how well he has performed throughout 2023, Las Vegas is a track he has struggled at throughout his career. In his 13 starts in Sin City, he has just one top-10 finish and is averaging just 31.09 DraftKings points at this venue dating back to 2020. While we cannot totally ignore what Buescher has done over the last three months, his lack of production at this speedway gives us cause to limit our exposure to the No. 17 in DFS this weekend.
