1 year agoSan Jose Sharks forward Mikael Granlund (lower body) was placed on Injured Reserve Friday. He reaggravated a lower-body injury in Thursday's 4-1 loss to Vegas. The 31-year-old will now be forced to miss at least three games, starting with Saturday's matchup against the Avalanche. This is a big setback personally for Granlund, who's hoping to reignite his career in San Jose, and it's also bad news for the team, as the Sharks have opened the campaign without Logan Couture (lower body), and the center position is now already down to bare bones with only one game played.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
