Deshaun Watson Does Not Practice On Thursday
1 year agoCleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) got more rest for his ailing shoulder on Thursday, sitting out practice for a second day in a row. Watson has a bruised rotator cuff which can take up to six weeks to heal. The quarterback was held out of Week 4 as a precaution, ceding a start to rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson, and the Browns had a bye in Week 5. Thompson-Robinson looked completely outmatched against the Ravens so Cleveland has been giving first-team reps to P.J. Walker as the team prepares to face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6. Whoever the Browns start under center on Sunday will be hard to trust, as the 49ers are among the best in points allowed to opposing quarterbacks.
