Austin Slater Undergoes Surgery
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Austin Slater (elbow) underwent scheduled surgery on his right elbow on Wednesday. The 30-year-old outfielder had surgery to remove a bone spur in his elbow. The hope is that the surgery will fix the lingering nerve discomfort Slater has been having in his right elbow. Slater will need roughly four months to fully recover from the surgery. That being said, he should be fine and ready to go around the time spring training begins.
