1 year agoSpire Motorsports now has its driver set for the 2024 Cup Series season confirmed, as the team announced that Carson Hocevar will race in the No. 77 Chevrolet full-time starting next year. This season, Hocevar is filling in at Legacy Motor Club in the No. 42 Chevrolet and has an average finish of 19.8 in that race car. Hocevar will be taking over the No. 77 Chevrolet from Ty Dillon, who has an average finish of 27.8 in that car this season. When discussing the move, Hocevar remarked, "I feel more than prepared to get in the No. 77 car with Spire. That team is growing exponentially and I'm just excited for everything. I have a unique opportunity to build something and grow with it, while growing myself at the same time."--Jordan McAbee
