After playing quite well last season, Daniel Jones signed a four-year, $160 million contract extension with the New York Giants in the summer. The franchise viewed him as their franchise quarterback, and under coach Brian Daboll, Jones will continue to get better.
However, that hasn't been the case so far this season. The Giants are off to a shocking 1-4 start to the season, and their quarterback has played quite poorly.
In the Giants' week 5's 31-16 loss against the Miami Dolphins, Jones suffered a neck injury. Due to this, many fantasy managers are worried about his status for Week 6. Will he play this coming Sunday? Let's take a look at his injury update.

Daniel Jones Injury Update
Daniel Jones recently made an appearance on the Up and Adams Show and talked about the details of his injury. He revealed that the current injury is different from the one he suffered last season.
However, despite that, he is feeling better and is aiming to play against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The Giants' offensive line has been one of their biggest weaknesses this season, and it will be interesting to see whether or not they will be able to protect their quarterback against a good Bills team.
Daniel Jones Fantasy Outlook
In five games so far this season, Daniel Jones has thrown for 884 yards, two touchdowns, and six interceptions, with a poor passer rating of 71.7. He is averaging just 176.8 yards per game, along with 5.5 yards per attempt, and has a completion percentage of 68.9.
Jones has struggled without Saquon Barkley's presence, but the star running back could possibly play in Week 6. Without his running back, the Giants quarterback has rushed for 197 yards on 38 carries while scoring one rushing touchdown.
The Giants have a lot of problems to overcome, and with how things presently are, it's hard to see Jones bouncing back and making an impact. Over the first five weeks, he has recorded a total of 61.1 points in full PPR scoring leagues and is ranked #22 among the quarterbacks.
