Jimmy Garoppolo Puts Up Pedestrian Stats In Win
1 year agoLas Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo completed 22 passes on 31 attempts (70.9%) for 208 yards in the Week 5 win against the Green Bay Packers. The veteran quarterback averaged 6.7 yards per attempt, and his interception issues continued. Garoppolo turned the ball over once, throwing an interception on a throw targeting Jakobi Meyers. The Raiders quarterback is now in sole possession of the league lead in interceptions this season. Despite his turnover woes, Garoppolo had a passing touchdown to Meyers in the second quarter. The Raiders quarterback did not need to put the team on his back to get the win since the Packers quarterback Jordan Love had an even worse game. Garoppolo will have another week to recover from the concussion before facing the New England Patriots. The Patriots have been one of the tougher matchups for quarterbacks, but injuries to their defense may change that narrative. Fantasy managers likely have better options than Garoppolo available on the waiver wire.
