We are still in the first week of the greatest 50 days of the year for any football fan. Last Wednesday marked day one of 50 consecutive days of either FBS or NFL football. What a time to be alive! For all of the evil things the Mouse does, one thing that is right about all of this is ESPN gobbling up the TV rights to Conference USA, the Fun Belt, and the MAC. Instead of putting those games on ESPN+ on Saturdays, they did the right thing for everyone and gave us mid-week football. The ESPN money may have destroyed the Pac-12, but it also gave us this.
Our Tuesday starts in Murfreesboro with Louisiana Tech heading up to take on the Blue Raiders. Liberty heads down south to Jacksonville State to take on the Gamecocks. We close out in Boone with the Chanticleers heading from the beach to the mountains to take on App State. This is going to be a blast!
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/10/23, locking at 7 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

College Football Betting Picks October 10:
I don't have the full odds article done yet, so we are just going to do this here. That's what Tuesday games do to me. You know the drill!
Louisiana Tech at Middle Tennessee State (-3.5)
Betting Confidence Factor: 3
This is the spread as last week when MTSU lost outright to Jacksonville State. Fool me once... They aren't getting me again. Give me the Bulldogs outright.
Liberty (-6.5) at Jacksonville State
Betting Confidence Factor: 2
I'm starting to believe in the Gamecocks, but Liberty just keeps on winning. Still, the Flames barely escaped Sam Houston at home. The Gamecocks beat Sam Houston in Huntsville two weeks ago. I'll take them not to get covered here.
Coastal Carolina at Appalachian State (-6.5)
Betting Confidence Factor: 3
One team almost beat the mighty Tarheels. The other is oh-for-Georgia in the Fun Belt. Give me App State.
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Kaidon Salter, Liberty ($8,600)
Salter is a capable passer, but those rushing touchdowns that he keeps piling up (six in the last four games) make him dangerous in DFS circles. This is another stiff defense waiting for the Flames, but Liberty only scored 21 points last week and Salter still hit 23.08 DraftKings points. He's matchup-proof since the offense runs through him, much the same way it did for Malik Willis.
Zion Webb, Jacksonville State ($5,600)
The quarterback situation in Gamecock country is still a fluid situation. Webb started the season opener against UTEP and played well. Some struggles against Coastal landed him on the bench in favor of Nebraska transfer Logan Smothers. Smothers struggled against Sam Houston, but so did Webb...so...back to Smothers.
Smothers started last week and was awful against Middle Tennessee State. Then Webb led the Gamecocks to an unlikely victory in Murfreesboro. Webb should start this week, but a rough start will result in a hook. However, we saw the upside last week when he put up 34.54 DraftKings points in a game that he didn't even start. The upside is worth the risk.
Also consider: Ryan Burger/Joey Aguilar, Appalachian State; Nicholas Vattiato, Middle Tennessee State ($7,00)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Tyre Shelton, Louisiana Tech ($6,900)
The MTSU run defense has been decent, but Shelton has three straight 100-yard games. It would be four if the Bulldogs weren't manhandling Northwestern State in Week 2. I'll say that streak gets to four tonight. You can sprinkle in a touchdown on top. Shelton has scored at least one in every game in which he has been active.
Braydon Bennett, Coastal Carolina ($5,500)
Considering the state of the CCU backfield before last week against Georgia State, Bennett running for 114 yards last week on 15 carries should alleviate most of the timeshare. This is still a leap of faith, but the Chanticleer running attack has been average with several backs getting around five carries per game. Last week it looked like Bennett took the job and ran with it. If I'm right, he could have a huge game this week.
Also consider: Malik Jackson, Jacksonville State ($7,400); Nate Noel, Appalachian State ($6,500)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Smoke Harris, Louisiana Tech ($7,100)
Smoke flopped against UTEP but was back against Western Kentucky with his third game of double-digit receptions so far this season. If Hank Bachmeier can return for this game, I like Harris even more. Jack Turner is a decent quarterback, but Bachmeier's arm is better. Regardless, Harris is by far the best receiving threat on the slate.
Holden Willis, Middle Tennessee State ($6,000)
Willis is expensive for a tight end, but you can't deny that he has been worth it. Willis has 19 receptions for 285 yards and a score over the last three games since he missed Week 3 due to injury. Vattiato seems more comfortable throwing shorter passes and Willis is clearly a favorite target. It feels like volume is going to be key on this slate, so I'm chasing the volume.
CJ Daniels, Liberty ($5,600)
Daniels is a big play waiting to happen. Jacksonville State has been outstanding in run defense. The way to get to them is through passing. Daniels has three 100-yard games in his last four tries with a touchdown scored in each of those three games. If Jacksonville State clamps down on the run again, Daniels is going to be the key to victory for Liberty.
Also consider: Elijah Metcalf, Middle Tennessee State ($6,600); Jared Brown, Coastal Carolina ($5,700); Sam Pinckney, Coastal Carolina ($5,500); Perry Carter, Jacksonville State ($5,300)
DraftKings CFB Stacks:
Louisiana Tech
I want to know who is starting at quarterback before I take either one of them. There is likely a short leash, especially on Turner if he starts. I'm hoping for a Hank Bachmeier-Smoke Harris beginning with Shelton as the back. Tru Edwards is getting more and more work lately and could be a nice GPP dart against what has been a terrible pass defense. Cyrus Allen is a little more reliable but a lot more expensive.
Also consider: Middle Tennessee State, Appalachian State
