1 year agoOn Saturday afternoon, A.J. Allmendinger qualified sixth for Sunday's Bank of America Roval 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. While Allmendinger's reputation as a road ringer is well known, what may not be appreciated is how well he has performed at this particular track. In his three Cup starts in this configuration, the 41-year-old has two top-10 finishes, including a fourth-place finish last year. With this said, while his Cup success here is noteworthy, what really stands out about him this weekend is that he won four straight Xfinity races at this track (2019-2022). Although some will downplay these four consecutive wins given that they did not come at the Cup level, I feel his efforts make a strong case for the No. 16 this weekend. Knowing that he is always a threat at the road courses, and given the success he has had at this particular course, I feel he is one of the stronger plays in both sports betting and DFS this weekend.--Adam Erhardt - RotoBaller
