Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet was a popular handcuff in fantasy drafts this summer.
The UCLA star was a jack of all trades running the ball. He was drafted by the Seahawks in round three of the 2023 NFL Draft even though they already had Kenneth Walker III.
He is still available on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues. Should you add Charbonnet for Week 5?

What Did Zach Charbonnet Accomplish In Week 4?
Zach Charbonnet carried the ball five times for 31 yards in the Seahawks' 24-3 win over the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. He also caught one pass for nine yards.
Charbonnet averaged a healthy 6.2 yards per carry, but he didn't break a single tackle. All of his yards came before contact. That indicates he is taking advantage of good blocking and positive run situations.
Charbonnet is operating as the clear RB in Seattle. In each game, he has had fewer than ten carries. In fact, the rookie had fewer than five carries in Weeks 1 and 2. He has been looking good on tape in what limited carries he gets. His PFF grade through the first three weeks was 72.3, and he stiff-armed this guy into another dimension.
But it is hard for him to make a fantasy contribution if he remains the RB2, and KWIII has outcarried him by 15 carries a game.
Is Zach Charbonnet A Good Fantasy Football Pickup for Week 5?
Although Seahawks RB1 Kenneth Walker III suffered a minor injury in the preseason, he is healthy now and hasn't missed any time. As long as KWIII is healthy and is firmly secure as the lead back, as is the case now, Zach Charbonnet will only have a very limited role on the offense.
Walker has had 64% of the Seahawks' carries, while Charbonnet has only had 21%. Walker has also been targeted more as a receiver out of the backfield than Charbonnet.
Charbonnet is on the field more often when the Seahawks are leading and toward the ends of games. He has 10 carries for 61 yards in the fourth quarter but just three carries for 16 yards in the first quarter. The Seahawks trust Walker when they need to gain the lead and build the lead for most of the game.
In Week 5, the Seahawks are on bye, so you can add Charbonnet basically for free. No one else will be spending FAAB on him. But that would be a waste of roster space for someone who isn't likely to produce much even when Week 6 rolls around.
That said, the Seahawks do face the Bengals in Week 6, and Derrick Henry ran for 122 yards and a touchdown against the Bengals. If Walker suffers an injury later this season, Charbonnet is a top waiver wire add candidate.
