Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins was the 33rd overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Higgins had an excellent college career, totaling 135 receptions for 2,448 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns in three years at Clemson.
More importantly, the former Tiger had an impressive rookie season. He caught 67 of 108 targets for 908 receiving yards and six touchdowns that year. Furthermore, Higgins has been a consistent wide receiver for fantasy players, totaling at least 1,000 receiving yards and six touchdowns in back-to-back seasons in 2021 and 2022.
Meanwhile, the former Clemson star has had a rocky start this year. He had at least eight targets in each of the first three contests, averaging 9.3 per game. However, Higgins had only 10 receptions for 110 receiving yards and two touchdowns entering Week 4.

Is Tee Higgins Injured Or Healthy?
Unfortunately, the former Clemson Tiger only played 51% of the snaps on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. The veteran wide receiver had only two receptions on four targets for 19 receiving yards and 2.9 half-point PPR fantasy points before leaving the game early with a rib injury.
Unfortunately, Higgins suffered a fractured rib in the loss to the Titans. With Joe Burrow already dealing with a nagging calf strain, the Bengals offense has looked drastically different this year than last season.
Should I Pickup And Start Tyler Boyd?
While the initial reports suggested that Higgins would miss a few weeks with the injury, the star wide receiver won’t rule out playing in Week 5.
Even if the former Clemson star doesn’t play in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals, fantasy players shouldn’t consider Boyd the top replacement option off the waiver wire. The veteran ran a route on 33 of Burrow’s 35 dropbacks after Higgins left the game. However, Boyd had only 26 receiving yards on seven targets in the contest, scoring 4.6 fantasy points.
Instead, fantasy players should add Allen Lazard off the waiver wire this week. The New York Jets receiver had three receptions for 61 receiving yards and a touchdown in Week 4, scoring 13.6 fantasy points. More importantly, he faces the Denver Broncos in Week 5. They have surrendered nearly 36 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season.
