New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has had no shortage of fantasy production since entering the NFL as a third-round pick in 2017. He was a cheat code in PPR leagues early in his career and has remained productive over the last few seasons.
However, the 28-year-old has not played yet in 2023 due to a suspension stemming from a 2022 off-field incident. That is set to change soon.
Is Kamara returning from suspension in Week 4? Should you start Kamara against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Let's dive in.

Is Alvin Kamara Playing In Week 4?
New Orleans officially reinstated Kamara from suspension on Monday. The Saints will be getting Kamara back for his 2023 debut in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and it's good timing with Jamaal Williams (hamstring) on Injured Reserve.
Rookie Kendre Miller led the backfield in the Week 3 loss to the Green Bay Packers, carrying the ball nine times for just 34 yards while also catching his only target for no gain.
Alvin Kamara Week 4 Fantasy Outlook?
With Williams sidelined, Kamara should see plenty of touches in his 2023 debut. Jones Jr. should become an afterthought, as he was originally on the practice squad, and Miller will likely see a small role in his first NFL season.
While Kamara hasn't been around the team over the last three weeks, he knows the offensive system and is healthy heading into Week 4. With Derek Carr (shoulder) sidelined, the team could opt to lean on a fresh Kamara in the rushing and passing attack.
The Buccaneers have boasted a strong run defense for the last few seasons, but Kamara is matchup-proof, assuming he gets an adequate number of targets out of the backfield. Ultimately, there's no way to guarantee what Kamara's workload will look like in Week 4, but fantasy managers without much depth at running back might want to roll the dice on the former Pro Bowler.
