Seattle Kraken right wing Jordan Eberle wants to stick with the team and hopes to work out an extension. "I've made my stance clear as far as I love it here," Eberle said at the start of training camp. "I want to be here. And I want to be a part of a winning group. I think we have one here." The veteran winger will come off a five-year, $27.5 million deal next summer. He struggled in his first year in Seattle but completely turned around his form in 2022-23 to post 20 goals and 63 points in 82 games. Since Eberle doesn't have a contract for next season, he should be fully motivated to perform well for Seattle in the upcoming campaign.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Seattle Kraken right wing Jordan Eberle (pelvic) has been assigned to the AHL's Coachella Valley Firebirds on a conditioning loan. Eberle has missed three months of action following pelvic surgery, but it looks like he is getting close to returning to the Kraken lineup. The veteran winger posted six goals and 11 points in 17 games before getting hurt. Seattle will continue its season on Feb. 22 against the Florida Panthers. Once he's back in the fold, Eberle should reclaim a top-six spot and work with the first power-play unit.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Seattle Kraken right wing Jordan Eberle (pelvis) is expected to miss at least three months after undergoing pelvic surgery on Friday, according to the team. The captain sustained this injury on Thursday, November 14, and is now likely to be placed on long-term injured reserve, given the extensive timetable he could face. Before the injury, the 34-year-old tallied six goals and five helpers through 17 games. Fantasy managers who do not have an injured reserve spot on their roster can safely drop Eberle in all redraft formats as he is likely to miss an extended period. Through his first three games sidelined, the Kraken promoted Andre Burakovsky to the top line to play alongside Jared McCann and Matty Beniers.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Seattle Kraken right wing Jordan Eberle (lower body) will miss a third consecutive game on Wednesday versus Nashville. The veteran forward was injured last week in a game against Chicago. Eberle's efforts have resulted in six goals and five assists across 17 appearances this season. Daniel Sprong has joined the top-six group as Eberle's replacement. The Dutch winger was only recently acquired from Vancouver and hasn't yet made an impact with the team. Eberle's continued absence will also give Ben Meyers another opportunity to play on Wednesday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Seattle Kraken right wing Jordan Eberle (lower body) has been ruled out for this weekend's game against the New York teams. The veteran suffered a lower-body injury when he crashed into the boards in Thursday's contest versus Chicago. Through 17 games, Eberle is tied for the season-most points on the team with 11. Daniel Sprong is expected to jump into the lineup at the weekend. His second Kraken debut has been delayed due to immigration issues, but Sprong has finally joined the team. The 27-year-old was acquired in a trade with Vancouver last week. Sprong tallied 27 goals and 52 points in 82 appearances during his first stint in Seattle.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
