Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle was the sixth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Waddle had an excellent college career, totaling 106 receptions for 1,999 yards and 17 touchdowns in three years at Alabama.
More importantly, the former Alabama star had an outstanding rookie season. He had 104 receptions on 140 targets for 1,015 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Furthermore, Waddle led the Dolphins in all three categories.
However, many had concerns that the former Alabama star would regress last year after Miami traded for Tyreek Hill. Instead, the second-year star receiver had another outstanding season, totaling 75 receptions on 117 targets for 1,356 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Waddle averaged 18.1 yards per reception in 2022, the highest in the NFL.

Is Jaylen Waddle Playing In Week 3?
The former Alabama star has had a quiet start to the 2023 season. Waddle has eight receptions on 11 targets for 164 receiving yards. More importantly, he is averaging only 10.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game this season.
Unfortunately, the star wide receiver suffered a concussion last week against the New England Patriots. Waddle didn’t clear the concussion protocol and won’t play tomorrow against the Denver Broncos.
Should I Pickup And Start River Cracraft?
Fantasy players should start Tyreek Hill like they would any other week. However, no other Miami wide receiver is a worthy starter in Week 3, including Cracraft. Instead, fantasy players should check their waive wire for Tank Dell. The rookie wide receiver is rostered in under 25% of ESPN leagues.
Last week, the former Houston Cougar had seven receptions on 10 targets for 72 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts, scoring 16.7 fantasy points. He finished second on the team in snap share (79%) and routes run (45). The rookie led the team in targets (10).
The Houston Texans face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3. Jacksonville has surrendered 27.5 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, about the league average. However, they struggled against the Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers in Week 2.
More importantly, C.J. Stroud has 91 pass attempts, the third-most in the NFL over the first two weeks. The Texans will be in negative game script most of this game, creating plenty of opportunities for Dell to score fantasy points.
