Montreal Canadiens center Christian Dvorak (knee) won't make his 2023-24 debut until November. The 27-year-old underwent knee surgery in March and is still working his way back. According to general manager Kent Hughes, Dvorak's surgeon wants to be "1,000 percent" sure the American centerman is healthy before giving him the all-clear to return to action. Dvorak is a middle-six guy for the Canadiens who posted 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists) in 64 appearances last season. With him absent, Alex Newhook looks set to be the second-line center for the first month of the season. He's been skating with Josh Anderson and Juraj Slafkovsky at the start of training camp.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
