Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was largely unproductive in his Week 1 debut but posted a strong fantasy outing in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts. Naturally, the rookie was a hot waiver wire add heading into Week 3.
Now, fantasy managers who picked him up or are looking for last-minute flex plays are surely wondering whether they should start the University of Houston product in Week 3.
How did Dell perform in Week 2, and what is his Week 3 fantasy outlook against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Let's jump into it.

What Did Tank Dell Do In Week 2?
Against the Colts, Dell caught seven of his ten targets for 72 yards and a touchdown. He registered a 21.3% target share, which was ahead of Robert Woods and Nico Collins, who were at 19% a piece.
It was a strong performance for the 2023 third-round pick and one that came as a surprise to most people. He officially put himself on the fantasy football radar with this outing.
Should I Start Tank Dell In Week 3 Fantasy Football?
Through two weeks, the Jaguars have been a middle-of-the-pack unit against fantasy wideouts. Jacksonville gave up eight receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown to Michael Pittman Jr. in Week 1 and three catches for 70 yards and a score to Skyy Moore in Week 2. However, secondary receivers like Josh Downs and Kadarius Toney didn't produce much against its defense.
That said, Dell has a wide range of outcomes for Week 3, and likely isn't worth starting in traditional-sized fantasy leagues. He is now an intriguing option in the flex spot for deep setups, but we can't overreact to one game in which quarterback CJ Stroud attempted 47 passes.
If he draws a large target share and produces big fantasy numbers in this matchup, he'll become a much more desirable flex play moving forward. For now, there are just too many wide receiver options available to roll with him.
